Felcra settlers to receive Hari Raya windfall, says chairman [NSTTV]

MACHANG: Felcra settlers throughout the country have another reason to cheer this coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri as they will receive dividend payments soon. Felcra Berhad chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub said the announcement on the matter would be made by the minister on April 24. "It is not proper for me to announce the dividend payouts now but what I can confirm here is that there will be good news for Felcra participants in the country. "The good news will be announced next Sunday," he said. Jazlan who is also Machang MP, told this to reporters after handing over Felcra tithes to the underprivileged here last night. He said there were more than 100,000 Felcra settlers in the country. On the programme, he said it was held for two days and would be end today. "Felcra has distributed about RM250,000 from its tithes this year to 1,443 the underprivileged and they include 100 students from religious schools. "The 1,443 recipients will receive the cash aid during the two-day programme here," he added.
